CONVOCATION OF THE 35TH GENERAL CONGREGATION
Father General has written a letter to the whole Society communicating that after obtaining the consent of His Holiness Benedict XVI, and the favourable response of all the Provincials, as established by the Complimentary Norms, he has decreed the convocation of the 35th General Congregation.
The first plenary session will take place on the eve of the Feast of the Epiphany, January 5, 2008, at the General Curia of the Society in Rome as the Constitutions stipulate in the case of the election of the Superior General.
In his letter Father General informs the Major Superiors that the Provincial Congregations must end no later than March 1, 2007.
Father General concludes his letter asking that all commend earnestly to God our Lord the successful outcome of the Congregation for his greater service, praise, and glory.
The letter is signed on February 2, Feast of the Presentation.
CONVOCATION DE LA 35ème CONGRÉGATION GÉNÉRALE
Le Père Général a adressé une lettre à toute la Compagnie qu’après avoir obtenu l’agrément de Sa Sainteté Benoît XVI et la réponse favorable de tous les Provinciaux, conformément à ce que prévoit la Norme Complémentaire 362 § 2, il a décrété la convocation de la 35ème Congrégation Générale.
La première séance plénière aura lieu la veille de l’Épiphanie du Seigneur, le 5 janvier 2008, à la Curie Généralice à Rome, comme les Constitutions le prescrivent en cas d’élection du Supérieur Général.
Dans sa lettre il informe les Supérieurs Majeurs de convoquer et de préparer les congrégations provinciales de façon quelles soient toutes terminées pour le 1er mars 2007.
Le Père Général conclut sa lettre en demandant que tous « confient sincèrement à Dieu Notre Seigneur » le succès de la Congrégation « pour son plus grand service, louange et gloire ».
La lettre a été signée le 2 février, fête de la Présentation.
CONVOCAZIONE DELLA 35ma CONGREGAZIONE GENERALE
Il Padre Generale ha scritto una lettera a tutta la Compagnia nella quale comunica che, dopo aver ottenuto il beneplacito di Sua Santità Benedetto XVImo e sentito il parere unanime dei Provinciali, in conformità a ciò che prevedono le Norme Complementari, ha decretato la convocazione della 35ma Congregazione Generale.
La prima seduta plenaria avrà luogo il 5 gennaio 2008, vigilia della festa dell’Epifania del Signore, nella Curia Generalizia a Roma come le Costituzioni prescrivono nel caso di elezione del Superiore Generale.
Nella sua lettera, il Padre Generale informa i Superiori che le
Congregazioni Provinciali debbono terminare i loro lavori per il 1 marzo
2007.
Il Padre Generale termina la lettera chiedendo a tutti di affidare
sinceramente a Dio nostro Signore il successo della Congregazione “per
il suo maggior servizio, lode e gloria”.
La lettera porta la data del 2 febbraio, Festa della Presentazione del Signore.
CONVOCACIÓN DE LA CONGREGACIÓN GENERAL 35
El Padre General ha escrito una carta a toda la Compañía en la cual
comunica que, después de haber obtenido el consentimiento de Su Santidad
Benedicto XVI y con el parecer unánime de los Provinciales, tal como lo
prescriben las Normas Complementarias, ha decretado la convocación de la
Congregación General 35.
La primera sesión plenaria tendrá lugar la víspera de la fiesta de la
Epifanía, 5 de enero 2008, en la Curia General de Roma como estipulado
en las Constituciones para el caso de una elección del Superior General.
En su carta, el Padre General informa a los Superiores que las Congregaciones Provinciales deben concluir sus trabajos antes del 1 de marzo 2007.
El Padre General concluye la carta pidiendo a todos que encomienden mucho a Dios Nuestro Señor el fruto de la Congregación para que todo sea como conviene para su mayor servicio, alabanza y gloria.
La carta está fechada el 2 de febrero, Fiesta de la Presentación.
